We hope 2012 is going well for you so far! MHE has several exciting events and opportunities through spring – here is a sample of how you can be involved:
- January 27th – Round Up with Cheer by Herrin/Menefee!
- February – Environmental Awareness Contest starts with the theme “All Tapped Out” – look for information in your tuesday envelope and encourage your child to participate and express their ideas for water conservation.
- February 1 – Donations are due for the February 16-19 – RISD Used Book Fair (please donate books, cds, dvds, etc. Your donations help fund important RISD scholarships)
- February 9 – General PTA Meeting 6:30 pm. We will approve the 2012-13 Nominating Committee and amend our association’s Standing Rules. This will be followed by an Enrichment Expo for Grades 3-6 families.
- February 25 – MHE Auction! Don’t forget to buy your auction raffle tickets to have a chance to win a golf cart or sapphire/diamond earrings!
- March 8 – Multicultural Night!
- March 9 – MHE Scholarship deadline for graduating seniors
- March 19 @ 9 am and March 20 @ 5 pm – Kindergarten Round-up registration for incoming kindergartners.
- March 29 before school – Donuts with Dads and Dudes
- SPRING – Moss Haven Farm Outdoor Learning Environment groundbreaking (date TBD)
Please remember to be safe and courteous during morning drop off and afternoon pick-up. Remember no parking or wating in the pick up/drop lane and no cell phone use. MHE thanks the dads club and beta club for helping with morning drop off!
